MOORS AND CHRISTIANS PROGRAMM 2008
Friday the 6th June
12.00 Village. Opening the medieval market, with music and canon shot. They offer all types of handmade products and the people are dressed on medieval time. Performances for adults and children.
The medieval market will be open Saturday all day and Sunday morning.
Anywway, the most beautifull is to walk along the small streets of the village and to have nice views from the Mirador, probably the only ones of the Mediterranean.
HISTORICAL CONMEMORATIONS AND REPRESENTATION
Friday June, 6
22:30 fountain. The troops will march to the sound of blunderbuss shots warning the village of the arrival of hostile army. Troop members will go along their captain, each group will be accompanied by their band. There will be fireworks and blunbanderbuss shots.
23.00 Village. Entry of trops in the willage each accompanied by their own ambassador and the Proclamation to the beginning of the fiesta as is customary.
24.00 Village. Opening ceremony, presided by their own ambassador with music bands.
Each Kabilas and barrack will be presided by their own ambassador and music group
Saturday June, 7
18.30 Playa del Descargador. (Opposite the Hotel Provenzal) Landing of
Moorish troops.
Horse parade and disembarking of re-enforcement of Moorish troops, preceded by blunderbuss shots. In between there will be a Hawning exhibition and a belly dancing show. There will also be a medieval tournament where Christian Knights and Moorish Lords will try to win their ladies favours.
The troops will then start marching along towards the Parque Comercial.
22:00 Village. Opening Kábilas and barracks.
Sunday June, 8
12:00 Beach. Garthering of Moorish and Chirstian fusiliers along the beach (lots of blunderbuss shots)
19:00 Village. Impressive parade of all the different Moors and Christians groups dressed up all their finery all accompanied by their own music bands.
